The British Hillclimb Championship is delighted to launch its official Instagram account marking another step in the modernisation and development of what is the oldest British Championship.
The 2024 BHC season kicks off over the weekend of 20th & 21st April at one of the original venues, Prescott Hillclimb. With the fastest single-seaters out performing even modern Formula 1 cars, on a road often no wider than a country lane, it is spectacular in the extreme. Defending Champion Wallace Menzies will return aiming for title number five in his Gould GR59. BHC competitors are joined at all mainland venues by competitors in the class based BHC Cup. Competitors in the BHC Cup compete in cars ranging from relatively standard road cars through to sports cars and historic and modern single seaters.
2023 saw the addition of the exciting BHC Tin Top – Top Ten Challenge. 2023 Challenge winner Damien Bradley will be back driving his monstrous Subaru Legacy. With a number of modifications intended to make the car even faster, he is certainly worth keeping a close eye on. The Challenge is expanded to five rounds at Harewood, Wiscombe Park, Shelsley Walsh, Prescott and Doune for 2024.
Watch out for more exciting announcements in the lead up to the season ahead.
